Hello, Welcome to business trip meal. My name is Mario Alvarez and I have been a business traveller since the 15th of october of 1998 when I started working for a transnational company as a technical service representative. I was born in Mexico and lived in Bolivia my first eighteen years, then I went back to Mexico where I went to college and found my first job which I loved because it involved a lot of travelling to visit customers all over the Mexican territory and part of central America and the United States. After four years of that I got a position in France where I did the same job for the European customers based in Paris. Three years later I mooved to the head quarters in Germany where I have lived the last eleven years, always doing the same job which allows me to meet new people all the time, keep my brain busy solving complicated problems for customers and my company and from time to time enjoying some free moments in different cities all over Europe. So far I have been in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Querétaro, Puebla, San Juan del Río, Monterrey, Tijuana, El Paso, El Rosario, Tampico, Toluca, Acapulco, Tlaxcala, Matamoros, San Luis Potosí, Ixtlahuaca, Cuernavaca, San Salvador, Wyandotte, Forth Worth, Laredo, Cedar Rapids, Boston, Avon, Providence, El Paso, Paris, Nantes, Oyonnax, Lyon, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Torino, Rome, Brussels, Tielt, Gent, Amsterdam, London, Manchester, Birmingham,... you get the picture, most industrial sites in Mexico, part of the USA and Europe.
I'm in love with food, I always have been. During all those years I had the chance to visit fantastic places thank to my business trips and discover great and awfull restaurants, fantastic and exotic meals and different cultures and their food rituals. I decided to start a community but I sucked at it so now I switched to podcasting. I'll give it a try on this way of telling the stories I lived in the last nineteen years travelling and enjoying business, travel and food.
